We provide owners with free estimates of the likely sale price of properties brought to the Salerooms for appraisal.  We will also provide an initial estimate on the basis of an image.  Please click here

The cost of selling at Mellors and Kirk is 15% of the hammer price and insurance 1.25%.  Lots illustrated on the web or in the catalogue are subject to an additional charge from £5 to 40.  Charges are subject to VAT.

Our Sales are widely advertised in the press.  We also advertise in the Antiques Trade Gazette and other specialist media.
 
We offer a highly competent collection service.  Our staff and contractors are trained and experienced in the handling of antiques, and works of art including ceramics.  Should a complete clearance of a house be called for, there is the added safeguard that nothing of value will be overlooked. 

The cost is calculated on the basis of £35 an hour (plus VAT).  A quotation will be provided on request. The cost of carriage is normally deducted from the sale proceeds.
