Auction Valuations
Our Valuation Days have re-started. You can bring along your items for a free, no obligation auction valuation with one of our auctioneers. Please scroll down to view the locations and dates.
The Auction House in Nottingham is open Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm (closing 1-2pm for lunch) where we also offer valuations. Please call ahead to ensure a valuer will be available if you plan to pop in.

Insurance Valuations
An up to date insurance valuation is necessary if disputes with a loss adjuster are to be avoided in the event of a claim. Before undertaking a valuation we always discuss with the client their specific requirements. The valuation will be carried out by an RICS qualified director and a specialist if necessary. Mellors & Kirk valuations are accepted by all the leading insurance companies.
Probate Valuations
Following a death, a person's personal property, unlike other assets can pose the executors or administrator with particular problems. Mellors & Kirk will respond immediately, prepare without delay a fully detailed, bound valuation, identifying specific requests and in the form required. Security is often a cause for concern and we can remove valuable items, or arrange for the entire contents of a house to be cleared and sent to auction at Mellors & Kirk. Any item that is unsalable will be donated to charity or, if possible, recycled.
Clients are notified of sales dates, receive a complete inventory with sales flagged and post sale statements. We also carry out valuations for Family Division and Capital Gains Tax. For more information please contact Martha Parvin on 0115 979 0066.
