Mellors & Kirk offers owners of coins a first class service where high standards of cataloguing are paramount.  The slightest difference in grade or a rare mint mark can have an enormous bearing on the value.  A Mellors & Kirk single owner coin sale grossed almost £1million and included a number of proof sets, each of which realised in excess of £10,000 headed by this example of the famous ‘Una and the Lion’ set of 1837 which went for £64,000 establishing a new benchmark and one of the highest prices ever achieved for a numismatic lot sold at a provincial auction sale.
