WORLD WAR ONE, MILITARY MEDAL 155853 SAPR G WALTERS 251/T'LG CO RE2561 Tunnelling Company, RE operated from October 1915 in the Cuyinchy-Cambrin-Auchy area. They detonated the last mine used by the British army on the Western Front at Givenchy on 10 August 1917 and took part in the successful defence of Givenchy in April 1918. 251 Tunnelling Company comprised many Cornish tin miners.
