A GROUP OF SALOPIAN ART POTTERY VASES AND SEVERAL OTHER WARES, 1920-30S in monochrome or tortoiseshell glazes, largest vase 30cm h, impressed mark (26)The slender waisted cylindrical vases were described in the Pottery's Catalogue as "Exhibition Flower Holders." A former worker at the Pottery described how gorse was sometimes pushed into the kiln to produce lustre, as seen on the smallest vase in the present lot.
