A ROYAL CROWN DERBY TEACUP, SAUCER AND PLATE FROM THE GARY SERVICE, 1909each piece painted by A Gregory with two or three groups of flowers, all signed, the light blue cavetto and cobalt border very finely decorated in raised gilding by George Darlington incorporating the initial G, the footrims also gilt, plate 18cm diam, impressed and gilt printed mark and royal warrantProvenance: From the suite of magnificent Royal Crown Derby Services, the finest in the factory's history, commissioned by American Judge Elbert Henry Gary (1846-1927) through Tiffany & Co, New York between 1907 and 1910.
