A RARE ROYAL CROWN DERBY ARMORIAL PLATE MADE AS A REPLACEMENT FOR AN 18TH C CHINESE ORIGINAL, 1907-08 23cm diam, printed markThe arms are those of the 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne (succeeded 1904, d.1944) and his wife Nina Cecilia (d.1938) daughter of the Rev. C W F Cavendish-Bentinck. They were married in 1881. Their youngest daughter became Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother (1900-2002).
