MRS SARAH HARRINGTON (FL 1774-C1787) SILHOUETTES OF THE REVEREND WILLIAM COXE, CHARLES LESTER AND ANOTHER GENTLEMAN hollow cut, 9 x 7cm pearwood frames, two with trade label and two other hollow cut silhouettes in hammered silvered frames (5)The Reverend William Coxe (1748-1828), son of William Coxe, Physician to the King's Household and Fellow of King's College, Cambridge, travelled on the Continent at various times as tutor to George, Lord Herbert (1759-1827) Samuel Whitbread (1764-1815) and others. He successively held several livings including that of Bemerton (where he is buried) and was Archdeacon of Wiltshire. He married Eleanora, daughter of William Shairp, a widow and was the author of Travels and Memoirs of Sir Robert Walpole.
