TWO SHEFFIELD PLATE NUTMEG GRATERS, ONE BY MATTHEW BOULTON, C1795 THE OTHER ALSO BIRMINGHAM MADE, C1810 the first of two piece cylindrical form with gadrooned top, the other flat backed, 6.5 & 9.5cm hCrosskey fig 374.Few examples of Sheffield Plate nutmeg graters appear to have survived. No examples are found in any pattern book and they were almost certainly made only at Birmingham.
